Yesterday around 4pm porn superstar Lane V. Rogers was killed in a motorcycle accident. The young King was just 31 years old.

Lane started his career in the adult industry under the name “Blake Mitchell” with Helix Studios in 2014, the year before I started this site. I’ve been charting his rise to prominence the entire time, watching his natural dominance force Helix to unshackle him from their insistence on versatility and open the way for young gay Alphas to accept their own Alphahood.

Lane was, more than anything, a Protector Alpha first and foremost; he always led with his heart and his humanity. He championed gay rights and helped bisexuals feel comfortable rather than persecuted. His easy, confident smile was so radiant that it lit up every darkened room around the world, rooms where shy gay boys and faggots hid in fear. Lane reassured them with that smile that they have purpose and value.

I never got to know him the way Joey Mills, Chad Alec, Sean Ford, Angel Rivera, and many other co-stars and industry figures knew him. Our paths crossed in DMs every so often over the last ten years, and they were generous-but-brief chats I’ll hold close to my heart. They were more than a random faggot like me even deserved from him.

I only wish that Lane’s model of activism and integrity was shared by other leading figures in the porn industry. Far too many of them are content to make money and enjoy life during this brief moment when they’re still commercially viable. Lane made plenty of money, but he was determined to make his fame count for more than just sexy images on the internet.

We only have a few years here. Make them count!

The tattoo Lane proudly carried on his left pec says everything about a young Alpha who laughed, loved, protected, roared, and lived like a lion. He didn’t need my constant accolades to prove what he was. He embodied it. I’m so sorry his light has left our world, but I’m so grateful I was able to see it.

To all of the many family members, friends, and fans who knew and loved Lane, I extend my deepest sympathies.

Love Always,

sam the faggot
