A few months ago I wrote about my promotion at work. The head of our little unit had been promoted to Assistant Marketing Director and I had been promoted to his former position. This jumped me ahead of this dude David, who had been employed a year before me and whose nose, as it turned out, was pretty much out of joint on account of this. Like I gave a shit – I had already fucked David’s girl friend – in his own apartment, with him looking on and jerking off. So, i had a pretty good idea (so does the world) what kind of dude David is.
Well, on Friday, the big boss called me in and informed me that I was being promoted again – this time as Assistant Vice President for Marketing, jumping over the back of my former boss, who remains as assistant marketing directer. The big boss likes my style and he says that he expects that my forcefulness in marketing meetings with clients will make for real sales improvements.
I gotta say that my dick got hard when my former boss, the guy who actually hired me, came into my now, corner office, congratulated me, and told me to let him know if there was anything he could do to help me in the transition. He called me “Sir,” this 45 year old career hack.
