Hi Sam, some time ago there was a question about potentially alpha tenant/flatmate. Do you think it’s a good idea to test the waters by sniffing their used socks and boxers to develop sub feelings, and at the same time start some soft service? What steps you’d advise? I think it’s good to go slow to don’t scare him and avoid awkwardness.

Sadly, I couldn’t find the specific QFR you referred to (there are a lot of such questions here!), but I’ll answer you instead.
I think it’s always a good idea to sniff an Alpha’s dirty laundry. It’s a non-invasive way for fags to train themselves on scent. I think most fags do it when they’re young, but you’re never too old to start.
The soft service idea is even better. Offer to detail his car, do his laundry, cook meals for him (or meal prep if he’s a lifter). Doing such things will make you feel better and get the wheels turning in the mind of the Alpha.
